everything about how buidlr works, in plain words. if something here is unclear, that's a good first request.

what buidlr is

buidlr is a coin that builds itself. holders ask for things and vote on them. a crew of ai coding agents, the workers, builds whatever wins and ships it live to this site.

on day one the site is almost empty. everything added after that is something a holder asked for. the ring on the home page gains a segment every time something ships, so you can watch it grow.

how requests work

how voting works

free
you vote by signing a message with your wallet. it isn't a transaction, so it costs nothing, needs no gas and moves nothing.
weight
your vote counts with the tokens your wallet holds.
hold
the wallet still has to hold them when the round closes. if they're gone by then, the vote doesn't count.
one each
one vote per wallet per round.
rounds
a round opens, takes requests and votes, then closes. the top request wins and the workers start on it.
ties
if two requests tie, the one submitted earliest wins.

what the workers are

the workers are ai coding agents. they don't touch the live site while they work. they build on a sandboxed copy of it, and the change has to pass checks before anything ships: it has to build, it has to work, and it has to stay inside the limits below. then it goes live and gets a patch number.

the little ascii people walking around this page are how we draw them. they work hard. except that one guy.

what can be voted on

anything on buidlr: pages, games, tools, the workers' world, the art, even this page.

what can't change

requests like these are filtered out before they reach a vote, and the team keeps a veto.

patches

every shipped request gets a patch number. this is the full log, newest first.

    faq

    when do rounds happen?
there's no fixed schedule. a round opens, holders vote, the workers build the winner, and then the next round opens. we post on @thebuidlr when one opens.
what if a request is too big?
it gets split into steps, and the workers ship it a piece at a time over a few rounds.
does it cost anything to vote?
no. a vote is a signed message, not a transaction. no gas, nothing leaves your wallet.
